All the school have been very busy in our build up to Easter, and below are just some of the activities from the different classes.
Easter Service at St Cynbryd’s Church
To ensure the children were fully involved in planning our Easter Service, Rev Janice came in to school to meet with a group of pupils. She spoke to them about how they would like to celebrate Easter, and they chose the songs and the theme of the readings for the service. They were also keen to include poems, music and prayers for the people of Ukraine.
It was lovely to see the children having an opportunity to share their ideas for the celebration, and thank you to Rev Janice for all her time.

The Easter Story
The children in Year 5 and 6 shared readings of the Easter Story.
Our music group
The instrumental group who work with Mrs Edge shared a wonderful performance with us all. Well done to all the children and a special thanks to Mrs Edge for all her support through the year.
Easter Prayers and Poems – Dosbarth 4
Dosbarth 3 Easter Poems
Dosbarth 2 Easter Prayers
The children in Dosbarth 2 shared their Easter prayers.
Dosbarth 5 Easter Prayers
We were all very proud of the children as we returned to St Cynbryd’s Church for our first service in over two year. It was lovely to see so many children involved in the Easter service, and the children showed a real awareness of others less fortunate than themselves in the special prayers they wrote.
Easter in Foundation Phase
The children in Nursery have been learning all about Easter over the last few weeks. They commemorated the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem for Palm Sunday, and created their own Easter garden.
Dosbarth 1 Easter Activities
Dosbarth 1 have been learning all about Easter both in and out of the classroom. They have been busy making Easter Baskets and working together to retell the Easter story. They also had a great time outside with a ‘Real Meaning of Easter’ scavenger hunt in the school grounds
Dosbarth 2 Easter Activities
As well as joining the Easter Service and designing Easter Cards for the Mission Area, Dosbarth 2 have been very busy building up to Easter and completing their Dinosaur topic. They had a wonderful Dinosaur Egg hunt with times tables clues and had lots of fun designing protective covers and investigating which eggs didn’t crack when dropped!
Diocese Easter Hampers
The Mission Area have been putting together Easter hampers for members of the local community. It was lovely that Jon Andrews (Youth Chaplain) asked the school to design Easter cards for all the hampers they were sending out and thank you to Mrs Haven and Dosbarth 2 for designing and making the cards!
A special thanks to Reverend Janice and Dr Lloyd for their continued support and warm welcome at St Cynbryd’s Church and for their services in school.
