Our Learners of the Week

Well done to all our fantastic learners of the week for all their hard work and great attitude to learning.

All the children in the nursery Class for being so well behaved on their trip to Llangollen. Miss Webb and all the staff were so proud of them!

Dosbarth 5 Digital Workshop

Big thank you to Livi and Vickie who worked with Class 5 on digital art, creating flowers for a Conwy Castle project. The pupils had opportunities to further develop their skills by creating animals and fictional characters using the software, and they had a great time exploring and developing their digital skills

Big Walk Big Wheel Week 2 – Health and Well-being

Thank you again to all the children who took part in our Big Wheel, Big Walk campaign over the last few weeks. It has been lovely to see so many children and families choosing active journeys each day – helping the environment helping to reduce congestion outside school and in the village.

Dosbarth 2 were delighted to take delivery of some new scooters ready for a Scooter Skills workshop next week with Debbie from Sustrans!

Nursery trip to Llangollen

Our Nursery class joined up with the children from Llanddulas Playgroup, and had a brilliant time in Llangollen last week. A trip along the canal was a wonderful end to their topic on transport, and the children had a great time!

Dosbarth 2 – Cynefin Project:

Over the last term the children from Dosbarth 2 have been working on an Arts Council Cymru Cynefin Project with Puppet Soup Puppet Company. The aim of the project was to raise our pupils’ awareness of diversity, equality and kindness and their sense of belonging or ‘Cynefin’.

We also used the project to give children the opportunity to work with creative practitioners and for staff to look at new ways of working in preparation for the Curriculum for Wales. The children and staff had a wonderful time and learnt a great deal. Fagner from Puppet Soup put the following video together for us to share the children’s learning journey with our parents:

Dosbarth 3 had a wonderful time on Friday on Llanddulas beach with Miss Webb and Miss Owen. They had a wonderful time engaging with their local environment – exploring, discovering and creating!

A warm cup of hot chocolate cheered up Dosbarth 3 after a busy day on Llanddulas beach
