Children’s Mental Health Week 2022 – Health and Well-being
As part of Children’s Mental Health Week 2022, all the children have been looking at well-being. This year’s theme is Growing Together. We have encouraged children to consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow.
Dosbarth 2 have been talking about the ‘Fruits of the Spirit: Love’ and created paintings in the style of the artist Kandinsky to represent this. Dosbarth 1 have been learning all about Friendship in their Circle time sessions. In Dosbarth 4 the children have been looking at their different skills and support bubbles and how they can help each other, while Dosbarth 5 have been learning about the different ways we can support our own mental health.
The children in Class 2 used the puppets they had made to write their own friendship stories.
Safer Internet Day 2022
To celebrate Internet Safety Day 2022, the children have been learning all about staying safe online. They have looked at how to stay safe when online and learnt the positive and negative features of the internet. They have also enjoyed a Kahoot Quiz to test their knowledge about Internet Safety.

Foundation Phase Woodwork Project
This week the children in the foundation phase classes began their new Woodwork Project. Each class Class has it’s own woodwork table, tools and safety equipment. They enjoyed the story of ‘Harry the Carpenter’ and learnt about the rules and how they keep safe. The children have learnt how to use a hammer and practised on a tree stump section. It has been wonderful to see how excited and engaged the children have been as they have started the project and developed their skills.
