Parent Governor Vacancy

The Governing Body currently has a vacancy for 1 parent governor to serve for a period of up to 3 years.

Joining the Governing Body as a Parent Governor offers you the opportunity to make a real contribution to the life and work of your child’s school. Governors play a key role in the leadership of the school and raising of standards including the appointment of key staff, overseeing the budget and monitoring progress in the curriculum.  Being a governor can be very rewarding and will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a team and gain new skills. Don’t worry if you have no experience as full training and support is available from the Local Authority and your colleagues on the Governing Body.

At Ysgol Llanddulas the Governing Body meets every half term and the meetings commence at 6pm and finish at 7.30pm approximately. There are also committee meetings arranged half termly.

If you have questions or would like more information about becoming a parent governor please contact Mr Davies. If you wish to nominate yourself as a parent governor, nomination forms are available from the school office or swyddfa@llanddulas.conwy.sch.uk. Nominations will need to be completed and returned to school by Monday 24th May. If necessary an election will be held, and further details will be sent in due course.

Thank you for your support – we look forward to hearing from parents.

Welcome to Mrs Tait

I’m sure you will all join me in extending a very warm welcome Mrs Iola Tait who will be joining us at Ysgol Llanddulas from next Monday. The school office will be open from 8.00-1.00pm each day, and Mrs Tait can be contacted on swyddfa@llanddulas.conwy.sch.uk

Active Journeys

Help improve cycling and walking in your local area.

WHAT IS ACTIVE TRAVEL? Active Travel means making everyday journeys by walking or cycling instead of using transport such as cars or buses. It is a Welsh Government initiative to encourage healthier travel and reduce traffic congestion. Active Travel includes journeys made to work, school, college, shops and leisure facilities.
Conwy Council are asking residents to tell them where you would like to see better facilities for everyday walking, cycling and wheeling journeys. They would like to know what’s good already and what would make walking and cycling easier for you. Your comments will help make plans for future improvements to the walking and cycling network in Conwy.
