Cynefin Project with Puppet Soup – Expressive Arts
Dosbarth 2 have started working on their Arts Council of Wales Cynefin Project this week. They all enjoyed meeting Fagner who is a director of Puppet Soup Home | PuppetSoup an award winning puppetry company who work across the country, using puppetry to to develop art experiences for children. We are really looking forward to working with Fagner over the next few weeks to use puppets to develop our understanding of diversity in our evolving society.
This week the children designed and made their own puppets and began writing scripts. They also started to make their own puppet theatres ready for their shows. It was lovely to see all the children so engaged and having a wonderful time working with Fagner.
The Cynefin Project is just one of the ways we are beginning to introduce the Curriculum for Wales to the children. They are having the opportunity to develop their skills of oracy, writing and creative working through engaging and authentic activities. It has been lovely to see the children work together and develop their independence and confidence and they become ‘ambitious and capable learners.’
