We have had another very busy week in school with some wonderful work from all the children!

Well done for producing a wonderful self portrait using items collected from outdoors
Class 5 – World War 2 visit
The children in Class 5 had a real treat this week with a visit from Jerry on behalf of @ConwyFusion Story Sessions from the Archives. They had a fantastic morning of activities and a great opportunity to explore the artefacts and learn all about rationing, the Blitz, blackout and life on the Home Front during World War 2.
School Crossing Patrol
There will be no School Crossing Patrol next week from Monday 11th October as Aunty Sue is having a well deserved holiday. Please take care on the crossing , and we look forward to welcoming her back on Monday 18th October.
Wear Yellow for Young Minds
Thank you to all the children and families for all your support for our Wear Yellow for Young Minds on World Mental Health Day. All the classes have been focusing on Wellbeing activities through the week, and have given the children a challenge to complete three little acts of kindness to brighten someone’s day and spread some joy:
- Say something kind
- Wave and smile at a friend
- Tell a joke to try and make someone laugh!
Harvest Festival
Unfortunately due to Covid rates in the local community, we will be unable to hold our usual Harvest Celebration for parents at St. Cynbryd Church. We will be holding a collective worship for all classes in school and details are included below of Harvest Services in the local community.
We would like to support the local community and this year we are again asking for donations of dried and tinned goods for the local food bank. All the donations will make a real difference to those that need it, and will be dropped of by our Humanities Senedd Group on Thursday 21st October.
Any donations can be dropped off by the children in the morning.
Thank you for your support.
