Children in Need 2021
Thank you to all the parents, staff and children for the fantastic support for our Children in Need 2021 non uniform day. It was lovely to see all the outfits and Pudsey ears, and a special thanks to Mrs Salle for baking the children some special cookies. Across the school children were busy with Pudsey activities, and thank you for your kind donations to our collection.
Teams 4 You Christmas Boxes
Thank you again for all the kind donations to school and online. Our Christmas boxes were collected this week and I’m sure they will make a real difference to children’s lives.
Anti Bullying Week
As part of national Anti Bullying week, all the classes across the school have been looking at ways to keep safe and stop bullying. We started the week with Odd Socks Day to celebrate all our differences and the importance of being unique.
Throughout the week al the classes have been looking at activities linked to the theme of ‘One Kind Word’ Class 2 build a friendship wall of kind words and Class 1 worked with Mr Lewis Jones to produce some wonderful images about being ‘kind’.
Class 5 used drama and film to look at ways to deal with bullying.
Eco Senedd Group – No Single Use Plastic Wednesday
Thank you to everyone who supported our Eco Senedd group No Single Plastic Wednesday this week. It was great to see so many children using re-usable containers for their snack, or bringing in fruit without any plastic packaging. Thank you very much for your support with this initiative!
Our Eco Senedd group are going to continue to look at our use of plastic across the school over the coming months, and look at ways we can reduce it’s use in school.
Class 4 – British Sign Language workshop
Class 4 had a very special treat this week with a visit from Del – a British Sign Language trainer. The class were absolutely fantastic during the session and were so enthusiastic that Del was able to teach them 3 songs as well as some everyday phrases. To support Anti Bullying week they learnt ‘Stand by Me’ and ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon. The lesson was such a hit we will definitely be arranging another visit!

Flu vaccination drop in sessions
In order to maximise numbers of those children and young people who were absent from school when the Flu immunisation was offered or who now wish to receive the flu immunisation, there will be the opportunity for immunisation to be offered on the following dates at a drop in clinics (no need to book).
