Parents Evening
Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us for our online parents evenings last week. It was our first time using School Cloud, and we hope you found it a useful opportunity to catch up with your child’s teacher.
Film Making Project
Year 6 have been very busy over the last few weeks working with Hafsah Nibe, a film maker and creative producer. The film making project has been funded by Film Cymru Wales and is providing a wonderful opportunity for the children plan, write, direct and film their own 3 second film. The children have explored different shots and charters and are even producing a ‘behind the scenes’ account of the project.
They have also had the chance to work with Martin Daws ( Young People’s Laureate Wales 2013-16). They’ve been playing rhyming games and exploring language to write their own fantastic poetry.
The project has provided the staff and children with a great opportunity to develop the new Curriculum for Wales. They have had the chance to work as ambitious and capable learners. and develop their language and ICT skills in a practical and exciting way. It has been lovely to see the fantastic work and the wonderful engagement with the project from all the children. We can’t wait to see the finished films!
