Moving up day -Tuesday 29th June
Following updated health and safety guidance, we will be amending our plans for moving up day in school on Tuesday 29th June. Instead of spending the whole day in their new classes, the children will now have the opportunity for an outdoor session with their new class teacher and support staff.
Nursery times for new reception pupils will stay the same, and Mrs Hughes and Class 1 staff will be meeting their new class in the nursery during the afternoon. Miss Webb will be meeting new nursery pupils who attend playgroup during the morning.
These new arrangements will allow us to maintain consistent contact groups and allow staff to safely social distance with new pupils.
Details of your child’s new classes will follow on Monday.
Updated guidance on Coronavirus procedures:
Arrangements for testing if your child is displaying any Coronavirus symptoms:
If your child is displaying any Covid symptoms, please book a PCR test, and inform school. The school is required to report any cases of symptomatic pupils to the local authority.
We will require a copy of the test result. Children will only be able to return to school once Contact Tracing Services have confirmed the negative result with school.
Following advice from Health Protection, Conwy have now confirmed that all future cases of pupils self isolating will now be advised to isolate for 10 days. This advice has been updated due to a Welsh Government change from containment of infection to controlling the spread of infection.
Thank you for your continued support with this.
